Judea Pearl is an Israeli-American computer scientist and philosopher known for championing the probabilistic approach to artificial intelligence and the development of Bayesian networks. He is the author of The Book of Why: The New Science of Cause and Effect; I Am Jewish: Personal Reflections Inspired by the Last Words of Daniel Pearl; and Coexistence and Other Fighting Words in which he tells the story of Israel, laying out essential arguments for why it matters.
