A year-end letter from Nadine

Dear Friend,

Whether we’re investigating the rise in anti-Semitism or the vilification of George Soros, reporting on the attitudes of politically engaged Jews, exploring how Germany’s national conversation helped it come to terms with its historical crimes, or discussing how Judaism for today’s millennials differs from that of their parents, Moment is always asking questions, telling stories and engaging in civil debates—all of which we bring to our readers.

This has been an exciting year. We launched our 2020 Jewish Political Voices Project, sent our Daniel Pearl Investigative Journalism Fellow to Iraq to report on the rapidly deteriorating conditions for religious minorities, created our Five Books to be an Educated Jew project, and hosted events that featured amazing writers, scholars and policymakers.

What you may not know is that subscriptions provide only a portion of Moment’s operating costs; we rely on tax-deductible gifts from friends who understand the value of Moment—the value of independent journalism—and the value of showcasing the many voices and ideas that makeup today’s Jewish community. In these polarized and tumultuous times, Moment’s work—and your support—is more important than ever

As the year draws to a close, I hope we can count on you for a special year-end gift to help ensure that our thoughtful and responsible journalism continues.

Thank you so much for supporting Moment.

Warmly,

Nadine Epstein

Editor-in-Chief
