Does VP Kamala Harris put the Democrats in a better position to beat former President Donald Trump in November?
I think someone younger and with more energy makes the Democratic Party more appealing. The Dems were coming from a poor position with Biden. So for them, Kamala’s candidacy is big excitement. But I don’t think she was an effective vice president. I didn’t see her doing a great job at the border. Yes, she’s a good communicator, but I don’t see her as having the needed management skills to run the country.
Does Trump have enough political strength to overcome the absence of his main target: Biden?
It will take Trump a week or two to change the message and the focus of his campaign effort. When you look at policies, you see how liberal the record of Kamala is. Joe was more of a moderate. Kamala is much more leftwing. I’m looking for the Trump campaign to refocus their campaign against Kamala. I actually think that Biden would have been tougher to beat. I think Biden had more moderate policies, and would have had a better shot. I am voting for Trump. I’m confident he will win.
Who is better on Israel/Gaza, Harris or Trump?
Kamala didn’t come to Congress (to hear Netanyahu’s address). I don’t understand what’s happened to the party on Israel and the Middle East. Yes, Kamala met with Netanyahu, but supporting Israel in a public forum is not something I associate with her. I personally think Trump is a better negotiator. I don’t understand why Biden didn’t have a strong focus on making sure the wars ended in Israel and Ukraine. When it comes to negotiation, Trump is better than either Biden or Harris.
