Sukkot is far and away the best holiday. Sitting in the sukkah, bundled up and sipping soup, hearing the birds and watching the fall light move across the reds and oranges in the trees – ahhh, a feast for the senses. One last glorious outdoor celebration before the hibernation of winter. And some evenings, in our neighborhood, you can hear the neighbors in their sukkot singing and clinking silverware.
As a kid, I used to want to eat the etrog so bad. Because it smells so good!
