Time Ticking till January 6

$1,000.00

Artist:  Judy A. Greenberg

Materials:

Collage on Canson Art Board

Year:

2020

Dimensions:

16” x 20”

Artist’s Statement
Art has always been in my DNA. In 2018, I returned to making art. My recent collages, on display at The Moment Gallery, deviate from my earlier works of abstract expressionism. I work mostly in collage, cutting up forms, reassembling and letting the material guide me. Some of the collages combine elements of surrealism and cubism, incorporated into compositions of abstract cityscapes and landscapes.

I have devoted my whole life to the arts … this is a continuation of that devotion.

Eastern Gate/Golden Gate

$2,000.00

Artist:  Simonida Perica Uth

Materials:

Mixed media: Arches Paper/Oil Pastel/Chinese Ink/Copper Leaf and Agoya shell

Year:

2021

Dimensions:

18” x 24”

Artist's Statement For me, the art is a journey into our sub-consciousness. Although we long for peace and harmony, we inevitably face torments in our life journey. Art faces both aspects and helps us understand ourselves, while reflecting on our time and society. The purpose of art is to talk to us and guide us to our inner emotions. In the end, it is like looking into a mirror. These pieces aimed to connect opposites like old and new. Glorious elements of the biblical past with modern mixed media like copper leaf, Chinese ink, and oil pastel. A combination to give spark to our flight of imagination.
