Mohamad Jebara, Islamic scholar and Chief Imam, is on a mission to reclaim Islam from what he describes as a legacy of corruption and betrayal that has led to extremism and stagnation in the Muslim world. In his latest book, The Life of the Quran, he hopes to educate readers about how the text of the sacred Muslim book has been abused and misunderstood in an effort to ensure conformity. Join Imam Jebara and Moment contributor Robert Siegel, former NPR host of All Things Considered, for a conversation about Jebara’s alternative interpretation of the history of Islam and traditional texts that could lead to a more dynamic and pluralistic Muslim world.

This conversation is part of Beni Adam/Bnei Adam: Restoring Humanity, a joint program series sponsored by MALA (Muslim American Leadership Alliance) and Moment Magazine, that encourages a healthy and impactful exchange of dialogue, dispels myths and builds solidarity that transcends beyond borders and religion.
