Exploring Jewish Poland: Past and Present

Moment launched its travel program with a 40th anniversary trip to Poland in June 2015.  Moment’s nine day trip — Exploring Jewish Poland: Past and Present in the company of scholar and writer Kostanty Gebert — took participants to Warsaw where they visited the POLIN Museum, the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, met with community representatives, and toured historical sites before traveling on to Krakow for the annual Jewish festival and visits to local community organizations.

The beautiful pictures seen below, courtesy of one of the participants Tibor Schonfeld, highlight this fascinating and stimulating trip.

Exploring Cuba with Moment

Moment editor and publisher Nadine Epstein took a small group to Cuba in January 2016, where they met with members of the Jewish community, explored old Havana, visited Cuban artists and musicians in their studios, sampled Cuban cuisine in some of the country’s famous paladares, and traveled outside of Havana to visit one of Cuba’s many organic farms. The trip was so successful, a second one is planned for January 2017. Email travelwithmoment@momentmag.com for more information.
