Does VP Kamala Harris put the Democrats in a better position to beat former President Donald Trump in November?

I was very impressed with the vice president’s speech on Monday. She showed energy, optimism and strength. The whirlwind of political events of the past week is unprecedented, but I think that the Democrats have a much better chance of beating Trump this November as a result of Biden’s departure and her candidacy.

Does Trump have enough political strength to overcome the absence of his main target: Biden?

No, I do not think that Trump has the political strength to overcome a different opponent. He had optimized a campaign to beat a doddering old man. I do not think that Trump has the discipline to beat a smart, energetic female opponent.

Who is better on Israel/Gaza, Harris or Trump?

I believe that in the long run, the security of Israel and the Middle East will be better served by a Harris presidency. Harris has a better chance of being seen as an honest broker between Israel and Hamas and might be able to get both parties to come to a resolution. Combating antisemitism in the United States will also be better served by a Harris presidency that values tolerance instead of extremism.
