Judge David Tatel, author of the book Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice, is a former civil rights lawyer, served on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and happens to be blind. Join Judge Tatel and Moment Opinion and Books Editor Amy E. Schwartz for a conversation about the current state of the U.S. Supreme Court and why his concerns ultimately led to his retirement from the bench. Judge Tatel also discusses his personal journey and why it took him so long to accept and eventually embrace the impact that being blind has had on his life and career.
