Tell Us: Have You Been Tested for the BRCA Mutations?
BY ELLEN WEXLER | October 10, 2017
This October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In our latest issue, we wrote about genetic diseases that affect those of Jewish ancestry. That includes, of course, the BRCA mutations. Those with BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations are at an increased risk for certain cancers—particularly breast and ovarian cancer.
Now, we want to hear from you. Have you (or your family members) been tested for the BRCA mutations? Tell us about your experiences with genetic testing in the form below. Your responses may be published in an upcoming post.
