Sam Altman – Jewish

Sam Altman was born to a Jewish American family. He identifies as Jewish, but doesn’t interpret religious texts literally.

Altman is an American entrepreneur who is best known for co-founding OpenAI in 2015 and becoming its CEO in 2019. He launched its main program, ChatGPT, in November 2022, but in 2023, was ousted as the company’s CEO over trust issues. Five days later, he was reinstated, where he remains to this day.
