Jason Alexander – Jewish
Jay Scott Greenspan, professionally known as Jason Alexander, was born in Newark, NJ, to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. He is an American actor, comedian, film director and television presenter, best known for his role as George Costanza on the hit TV show Seinfeld. “I was raised as a fairly aware and committed, but only partially observant, Jew. Culturally, I was an uber-Jew,” he told the Jewish United Fund in an email interview. “As far as personalities and celebrations and stories and history go–I was immersed in my Judaism.”
