Hannah Einbinder – Jewish

Hannah Einbinder is the daughter of original Saturday Night Live cast member Laraine Newman and director Chad Einbinder. She grew up in a Reform Jewish family.

Einbinder is an American writer, actress and comedian. She is best known for co-starring, along with Jean Smart, in Hacks (2021-2026), the fifth and final season of which premiered last week. In 2025, she won her first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks season 4. In 2019, NPR named her as one of ten stand-up comedians to watch after her set at the Just For Laughs festivals’ New Faces showcase, and in 2024, she released her first comedy special, Everything Must Go.
