Abbi Jacobson – Jewish

Abbi Jacobson was born to the artist Susan Komm and the graphic designer Alan Jacobson. She is Jewish and attended Hebrew school, and participated in Birthright Israel.

Jacobson is an American comedian, actress and writer. She co-created and starred in the Comedy Central show Broad City (2014-2019), which was initially a web series of the same name. She later worked as a writer and c0-creator of Amazon’s series A League of Their Own, an adaptation of the 1992 movie. In 2018, she published an essay collection, I Might Regret This, and in 2020, she founded the production company Tender Pictures. She’s currently starring in the third and final season of The Comeback (2005-2026).
