The Richard Solloway Internship at Moment Magazine

Supported by the generosity of philanthropist Richard Solloway, Moment provides a paid internship for highly qualified college seniors and new graduates with extensive journalism experience. This internship program provides hands-on experience in editorial work while supporting interns in the development of their own reporting projects.

Position Details:

• The internship is open to recent college graduates or seniors with significant journalism experience, and pays $18 per hour.
• Internships are available over the summer, fall,and winter/spring semesters.
• Interns may work either full-time or part-time, depending on Moment’s needs and the applicant’s other commitments.

 

While not mandatory, applicants are encouraged to work from Moment Magazine’s headquarters in Washington D.C. for a more immersive experience.

Interns will work closely with Moment Magazine’s editorial team, gaining exposure to various aspects of the publishing process, including:

• Researching and pitching story ideas
• Conducting interviews and fact-checking
• Writing articles and contributing to editorial projects
• Assisting in the production and publication process
• Collaborating with editors and other team members to maintain the magazine’s high editorial standards

Applicants are encouraged to submit a proposal for an in-depth reporting project as part of their application. This project should demonstrate the applicant’s interests, journalistic skills, and potential for impactful storytelling.
