Press release on New York Awards Dinner for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg & Lloyd Goldman

Moment will be presenting U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with its inaugural Human Rights Award on September 18 at 6:30 p.m. at The Yale Club in New York.

Washington, DC—September 9, 2019—“Human rights have been at the center of Justice Ginsburg’s career, and she has made incalculable contributions to the expansion of these rights, particularly for women,” said Moment editor-in-chief Nadine Epstein. “She embodies one of the central tenets of Judaism:’ justice, justice you shall pursue.’ We are proud to be giving her our first-ever Human Rights Award.”

Justice Ginsburg will accept the award and be in conversation with NPR Legal Affairs Correspondent Nina Totenberg.

Moment will be presenting its Community Leadership Award to advisory board member Lloyd Goldman, an innovator and leader in the field of real estate investment and development with a deep commitment to philanthropy; in addition to Moment, he serves on a number of boards, including the Einstein Institute for Medical Research and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and others.

The evening will feature a special operatic performance in Justice Ginsburg’s honor by mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves; Ms. Graves appears courtesy of The Metropolitan Opera.
