Moment Contests
An annual contest and discussion about some of the important issues facing modern Judaism. This year's topic: What does it mean to be Jewish without belief in God?"
The DPIJI is designed to encourage young journalists to write in-depth stories about a modern manifestation of anti-Semitism or another deeply ingrained prejudice. The deadline has been extended to April 16, 2012.
To celebrate Moment’s 36th year, we are featuring the Moment Cartoon Caption Contest. In each issue, we will provide a cartoon drawn by New Yorker and Moment cartoon editor Bob Mankoff.
The deadline is February 15, 2012! Congratulations to our 2011 winners.
The 2011 contest is now closed. The 2012 deadine is December 31, 2012. See Guidelines for Submission for more information.
The Moment Magazine Emerging Writer Awards were founded in 2004. Their mission is to seek out talented writers who have published at least one book and whose books confront themes that are of interest to millions of Jewish readers.
