The Moment Fellows Program
Provides talented young journalists with the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of Jewish community and Israel in preparation for a career in high-level magazine journalism. Training journalists to be knowledgeable and well-respected participants in the national civil discourse is crucial to the Jewish future. Moment Fellows can have a huge impact on the way in which prestigious magazines will report on Judaism and Israel over the next several decades.
Moment’s Publish-A-Kid Program
A unique educational program that provides an opportunity for children ages 9 through 13 to write reviews of age-appropriate books with Jewish themes. As a Jewish magazine, we believe it is crucial to promote Jewish literacy and this wonderful contest is helping parents, teachers and librarians to excite children about books with Jewish themes. The contest is open to children of all denominations and religions.
The Moment Magazine Emerging Writer Awards
Were founded in 2004. These awards are designed to seek out talented writers who have published at least one book, and whose work include themes that are of interest to millions of Jewish readers.

Moment Journalism Fund
With limited resources, the magazine cannot afford to pay writers what they deserve or cover necessary expenses. This fund provides grants to selected writers on assignment and provide expenses for lectures given on behalf of Moment.
Moment Book Projects
These include Great Love Stories of the Holocaust: Amazing Couples Who Met and Fell in Love and Survived to Create Great Marriages and a collection of our popular section, Ask the Rabbi.
Moment’s Editorial Cartoon Contest
This contest targets young cartoonists from around the globe.
