Moment Magazine Reprint Policy

We are delighted that you are interested in reprinting one of our stories. Articles written by staff may be available on a limited basis for reprint. For articles written by freelancers, you will need to contact the author. If you do not have contact information for the author, we will do our best to forward your written request.

Please read the following guidelines carefully and fill out the Moment Reprint Request Form below. Also, you can print and fax it to (202) 362-2514 with “Reprint Request ” in the subject heading. Please anticipate seven business days to process reprint requests.

For reprints in print:

• "Reprinted from the (MONTH, YEAR) issue of Moment Magazine, momentmag.com" must be clearly written before the text of the article begins as well as at the end of the text.
• If you are planning to reprint more than 300 words of an article, you must apply for permission.
• The article must run in full, without any text changes unless permission from Moment is obtained in writing prior to print date. If you are planning to run an abridged version of the article or if there are any other changes, Moment must approve the text beforehand.
• Moment does not arrange or facilitate permissions on behalf of writers, artists or photographers at any time. We do not provide images to run along with the articles. We do not give out private contact information such as emails or phone numbers of authors or sources.
• Moment charges a fee for reprints. The amount depends on publication size and nonprofit status. After you fill out our “Moment Reprint Request Form,” you will be given a price quote.
• Moment reserves the right to refuse reprint rights to anyone at anytime.
• Moment reserves the right to change its reprint policy at any time.
• Violators of Moment’s reprint policy will be prosecuted.

For reprints in a Web edition:

• Reprinting any of Moment’s articles in FULL in any electronic form without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
• If you are planning to reprint more than 300 words of an article, you must apply for permission.
• "Reprinted from the (MONTH, YEAR) issue of Moment Magazine, momentmag.com" must be clearly written in bold before the text of the article begins as well as at the end of the text. The Moment link must bring the reader to Moment’s website.
• Moment charges for reprints depending on the Website’s readership and nonprofit status. After you fill out the “Moment Reprint Request Form,” you will be given a price quote.
• Moment does not arrange or facilitate permissions from writers, artists or photographers at any time. The usage of any images found on Moment’s website is strictly prohibited. We do not give out emails and phone numbers of authors or sources.

And, for both online and print…

• Moment reserves the right to refuse reprint rights to anyone at anytime.
• Moment reserves the right to change its reprint policy at anytime.
• Violators of Moment’s reprint policy will be prosecuted.
